SCHOLARSHIPS
2024 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
Twenty-nine Three Rivers and George West High School graduates received scholarships of $3,000 each from Live Oak County Area Go-Texan, Inc.
McKinzie Stewart, a graduating senior from George West High School, was selected by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) Scholarship Committee to receive the $20,000 Go Texan scholarship for Live Oak County. McKinzie is the daughter of Chad and Kristin Stewart of George West.
Live Oak County Area Go-Texan, Inc. (LOCAGT) awarded twenty-nine (29) additional scholarships totaling $87,000. Students receiving academic scholarships of $3,000 each are Sofia Alvarado, Darla Campbell, Oscar Cruces, Olivia DeLeon, Daniel Diaz, Emilee Fisher, Raelene Freeman, Lexi Kelsey, Kyndal Kopplin, Derek Lancaster, Michelle Lindholm, William “Jet” Mauer, Jacob Maywald, Ryane McGee, Madeline McKinney, Kaitlin Oberheide, Lucero Ramirez, Molly Randell-Saenz, Harry Yos, and Kourtney Zamzow.
Students receiving Technical Scholarships of $3,000 each are Lilly Cotrich, Emileigh Caldwell, Hunter Diebel, Gavin Garza, Anthony Lane, Tyler Porter, Isabella Salazar, Caiden Salinas, and Leah Shofner.
From 1957 to 2024, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has provided $709,000 in scholarships to students from Live Oak County. From 1997 to 2024, our local Live Oak County Area Go-Texan, Inc. committee has given an additional $1,168,500 in scholarships to George West and Three Rivers High School seniors.
